An effective website is good for your organization and your community.

Back in 2000, when I told people I was going to become a webmaster, they looked at me with puzzled eyes and said - what in the world is that!? I endured many webmaster/webmistress jokes. And I would respond truthfully, I don't know, but I'll be good at it.

Back then, I was a legal secretary, which was too stressful a career for me. I am a single Mom, and wanted to start a business so that I could work at home and multi-task family and career.

My skills and talents going into the world of web development were:

  1. Fascination with the Internet and a somewhat savvy user

  2. Excellent keyboard skills and knowledge about software

  3. Extremely detail-oriented
